What is the price to enroll students in CU?

Competition University is available to all DECA Chapters at a price per student, per course.

There are two (2) enrollment periods to choose from for the introductory school year, 2010-11.

Early Enrollment: Through the end of October, CU is available at $12 / course for each student enrolled. Students will have access to CU through April. This is the most valuable price because students have access to CU longer.

Late Enrollment: November through April, enrollment is available for $14 / course for each student enrolled. Students will have access to CU through April.

There is a $25 administrative fee charged for each chapter's account setup.

Is there a minimum to enroll?

No.

How can enrollments be paid for?

Custom Resources, LLC, provider of CU, accepts school purchase orders, school checks, or Mastercard or Visa.  Custom Resources will not be able to process individual student checks.

How soon after enrolling can students log-in to CU?

CU is available beginning October 1 for the intital year and will be available through the end of the competitive events season.

Once enrollments have been received, and payment or school purchase order has been received, please allow up to 10 business days for your students' enrollments to be activated.

Are discounted enrollments available?

Yes, 1/2 price enrollment is available to chapters who promote CU. (The number of 1/2 price member enrollments to be awarde will equal the number of advisors presented to. For example, an advisor presents CU to 10 other advisors and returns the information to Custom Resources. The presenting advisor will receive 1/2 price enrollment for 10 of her students.) This is a limited-time offer. Prior approval to be eligible for 1/2 price enrollment must be obtained from Custom Resources.

If a presentation is made after enrollments have been paid for in the current year, the scholarships will be applied the following year. No refunds for the current year will be given.

How do chapters get the money to pay for enrollments?

The chapter may collect enrollment fees individually from students, pay from their organization's educational account, obtain sponsorships, or fundraise. From the main CU page, see further suggestions on fundraising near the bottom of the page.

Can students enroll in more than one course?

Yes, for an additional $10 per course.

Is CU current with DECA's competitive events?

Each year CU will have updates and best efforts will be made to align with the competitive event changes and updates. It is advisable to always refer to the annual DECA guide when in question, and it is requested that any changes which need to be made in a CU course to better reflect an event, be made known to CU developer, Tara Richardson.

How is CU connected with DECA?

CU is provided by Custom Resources, LLC which is a member of DECA's National Advisory Board and supports DECA annually as a sponsor. CU is not endorsed by or affiliated in any other way with the national organization.
